What Is Life Coaching?
Throughout our lives, we all benefit from coaching—someone who guides us to discover our own answers, simplifies a multitude of choices into a clear decision, instills confidence in our chosen direction, or acts as a cheerleader for our achievements. Life coaching combines support and development opportunities, eliminates obstacles, clarifies a pathway, and fosters accountability for realising personal success.
Who Is Coaching For?
Life Coaching is suitable for everyone, there are moments in our lives when the guidance of a coach becomes particularly crucial, such as during a career transition, when preparing for growth opportunities, or when striving to improve as a partner. There are also times when the need may not seem pressing. During these less urgent periods, there is a chance to prepare, to ensure that progress is being made, and to have a strategy for ongoing advancement.
What is the process?
Engaging a Life Coach is a personalised experience, and you might have one or more sessions. These sessions comprise a process of investigation, evaluation and action; they might occur in one session or over several sessions. First of all we will meet and get to know each other, what your goals are and if we are both comfortable, make an agreement to work together. We then decide on a way forward, the first session exploring your goals or challenges. The following sessions are about achieving your goals and continuing to explore. Usually you could expect to have at least two sessions after your initial consultation.
1. Free 30-minute Consultation
We ideally meet in person, chat, see if we click, and set our first session.
2. Exploring goals and challenges
Our first session will look at the goals and challenges that you are looking to work through; one session may be enough to get you on your way.
3. Setting Goals
As part of your coaching there will likely be an action plan to get you on your path.
4. Checking in and adjusting your plan
Here we confirm that the plan is working for you, if there are obstacles to resolve or if the plan needs to change.
5. Celebrate
Celebrating traditionally comes at the end but all the way through the process there are wins and your coach is your cheerleader.
